“The best food and service I have experienced for some time” - 31 July 2011
What a fantastic restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and were given the low down on moroccan food. We had the cold and the hot meze for starters, followed by the lamb and duck tagines. All washed down with a very nice Chilean Merlot. The food was great and the ambience superb; but it was the staff that made this a great meal. I don't think I've ever been made to feel as welcome in any restaurant. Well done! An example to all eateries.

“Genuine Moroccan experience with excellent food & wine”
- 4 July 2011
Great choice of interesting food, nicely served and really tasty. The genuine article. Good to see quality Moroccan wines on the wine list too (no, really, try them). Nice atmosphere, good service. What more could you want?

“Very good food" - 21 June 2011
This is a real gem of a restaurant. The food is fresh, full of flavour, with no aded sugar of salt. This is the best Moroccan restaurant I have ever been to. The owner and staff are attentive and friendly and ready to offer advice if you are unsure of anything on the menu. My only recommendation is to watch what you order. The Mezze for 2 (starter) is huge. My husband and I both have healthy appetites but felt nearly full after devouring a plate full of food and 2 rounds of bread each. My main course was vegetable cous cous to which I could add chicken, lamb or lamb sausage. I opted for the chicken. My meal turned up in 2 tagines - one containing the vegetables and cous cous and the other filled with half a chicken! It was all beautifully cooked and it felt criminal to leave any but I really couldn't eat that much food. The mint tea was very welcome afterwards.
All in all this is a wonderful restaurant - just watch out for the generous portions!

“Authentic, great Moroccan food” - 10 June 2011
I had been in London for a week & although dining out at prestigious restaurants such as Ramsays at Claridges I was not impressed with either UK food or the mediocre European wines compared to ours in Australia. My wife & I toured the Cotswolds & on the last night were in Bath. Situated next to our hotel is this gem. I spoke with the owner & arranged dinner for 6, which became 7; I left the ordering to him. He was a delightful man with a great love of his cultural cooking; he selected & explained the dishes; he took note of any food to avoid, & looked after us. I cook myself including Moroccan & this food was incomparable. He also had a great McLaren Vale blend! on the wine list. Visited June 2011

“Excellent food, warm welcome” - 16 April 2011
We went to Cafe Du GLobe today. I never usually bother writing reviews but the food was amazing so felt the urge to recommend.

“great service, great food - highly recommended” - 13 January 2011
We had a late lunch here and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and the food was lovely and plentiful. It was incredibly reasonably priced.

“Genuine Morrocan cuisine in an informal cafe atmosphere.” - 24 February 2011
The guy who owns and operates this restaurant does front of counter service, and he is a real character. You get the feeling that this is his life. The service of his customers seems to be genuine, and the food is great.

Cafe du Globe, Bath, Somerset: My second visit and even better than the excellent first, not least because it was for a leisurely evening meal rather than a necessarily curtailed pre-theatre one. Wonderful food, service, atmosphere and value. It even passed the severe test of wowing my young adult children.

Cafe du Globe, Bath Intimate, characterful restaurant with delicious authentic Morrocan food and efficient service. The mezze starter and lamb tagine lived up to expectations and were plentiful. The decor and the downstairs bazaar are fun and external tables are provided for a session on a shisha pipe. Highly recommended.

I booked this restaurant as a surprise for my husband's birthday and he loved it!! The food was so flavour-some. We had the shared meze to start with, the flavours were so intense and satisying. For our mains we both had Chicken Tagines, but with different ingredients - my only negative point to make is that due to the large starter I was unable to finish my main course!! but it was very tasty. The decoration, staff and ambience is brilliant and is very good value for money

Cafe du globe in bath is the best morrocan meal I've had-better than some when I was in Marrakech.very authentic and delicious. We had the mezze platter which was well explained by our waiter and gave us a little taste of many different morrocan dishes.the beef tagine was also really good.portions were large and it was good value.I can't fault this place and will definitely be returning.
